Level 2
This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.
The trainee who successfully completes the Program will be qualified to work as an Industrial Electrical/Electronic Control Technology Servicing Worker with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.
Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the economic infrastructure sector in the field of Industrial Electrical/Electronic Control Technology. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.
Graduates are therefore expected to:
- Apply 5S Procedures,
- Perform Electrical Measurements and Calculations,
- Test Electrical and Electronic Components/Parts,
- Operate application software packages,
- Design and Construct Simple Printed Circuit Board,
- Test and Construct Linear and Switch Mode Power Supply Systems,
- Install and Terminate Electrical wiring System,
- Perform Installation of Motor Controller System,
- Rewind single/three phase induction machine,
- Maintain and Repair Industrial Electrical Machines and Drives, and
- Perform Commissioning of Electrical Equipment/System
in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.
Level 3

- Manage Installation and Maintenance Operations,
- Develop and Test codes for Microcontroller devices,
- Install Mechatronics Device,
- Calibrate and Repair Measuring and Analysis System,
- Maintain and Troubleshooting Mechatronics Devices and Process Instrument,
- Diagnose and Rectify Faults in Digital Controls Systems,
- Commission Mechatronics System,
- Set up and Adjust PID Control loops,
- Commission Mechatronics System,
- Provide solutions to problems in electro-pneumatic hydraulic system operation and control, and
- Solve problems in single/three-phase electronic power control circuits
in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.
Level 5
This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.
The Trainees who successfully completed the Program will be qualified to work as an Electrical/Electronic Control Technology Supervisor with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.
Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the Economic Infrastructure sector in the field of Industrial Electrical/Electronic Control Technology The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.
Graduates are therefore expected to:
- Install Process Control Apparatus and Associated Equipment,
- Design and Develop Electronic Systems Projects,
- Develop Complex Drawings for Electrical systems,
- Design Embedded Controller of Control systems using CAD systems,
- Set up Process Measuring and Control Instruments,
- Find and Rectify Faults in Process Control Systems,
- Develop Programs in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems,
- Set up Electronically Controlled Complex Systems,
- Perform Technical Consultation, and
- Perform Commissioning of Process Control Systems
in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.
