Level 1

This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.

The trainee who successfully completes the program will be qualified to work as a Plumber with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.

Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the EIS sector in the field of plumbing installation. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.

Graduates are therefore expected to:

  • Apply 5S Procedures, Handle, and store plumbing materials,
  • Draw and Interpret Drawings,
  • Set out for Plumbing Works,
  • Perform bench work,
  • Weld plastic pipe using the fusion method,
  • Provide water drainage systems and components,
  • Install water supply system and component

in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.

Level 2

This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.

The trainee who successfully completed the program will be qualified to work as a Plumber with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.

Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the EIS sector in the field of plumbing installation. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.

Graduates are therefore expected to:

  • Read plans and calculate plumbing quantities,
  • Carry-Out Basic Leveling,
  • Install, Service, and Maintain water supply Systems and Components,
  • Install, Service and Maintain Drainage Systems and Components,
  • Install and Adjust Water Service Control and Devices,
  • Weld using arc welding equipment, and
  • Prevent and Eliminate MUDA

in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.

Level 3

This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.

The trainee who successfully completed the program will be qualified to work as a Technician with competencies elaborated in the respective OS. Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the EIS sector in the field of plumbing installation. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.

Graduates are therefore expected to:

  • Prepare working drawing ,
  • Perform CAD Operation,
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities,
  • Plan layout of a residential sanitary system ,
  • Install water pump sets ,
  • Connect and install storage tanks to a domestic water supply,
  • Install service and maintain Fire Hydrant and Hose Reel Installation Systems,
  • Install service and maintain Residential Fire Protection Sprinklers,
  • Install control valve assemblies, actuating devices and local alarms,
  • Install below-ground sanitary drainage systems, and
  • Fit off and commission heated and cold water services

in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.

Level 4

This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.

The trainee who successfully completed the program will be qualified to work as a Middle Manager with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.

Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the EIS sector in the field of plumbing installation. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.

Graduates are therefore expected to:

  • Apply Building installation Codes and Standards contracting,
  • Design and size sanitary plumbing systems,
  • Design and size complex heated and cold water services and systems,
  • Design and size domestic treatment plant disposal systems,
  • Design, size, and layout of heating and cooling systems,
  • Apply legal requirements to Installation projects,
  • Arrange resources and prepare for the Installation project,
  • Apply sustainable building design principles to water management,
  • Conduct on-site supervision of Plumbing projects, and
  • Commission and maintain backflow prevention devices

in accordance with the performance criteria and evidence guide described in the OS.

Level 5

This program is designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude of the trainees to the standard required by the occupation. The contents of this program are in line with the occupational standard.

The trainee who successfully completed the Program will be qualified to work as a Technical Manager with competencies elaborated in the respective OS.

Graduates of the program will have the required qualification to work in the EIS sector in the field of plumbing installation. The prime objective of this training program is to equip the Trainees with the identified competencies specified in the OS.

Graduates are therefore expected to:

  • Design solar water heating systems,
  • Design sewer systems,
  • Locate and maintain piping systems,
  • Design pump systems,
  • Design complex sanitary plumbing and drainage,
  • Design hydraulic heating and cooling systems,
  • Monitor Costing System of Construction Project,
  • Identify services layout and connection methods to medium-rise construction projects,
  • Manage environmental management practices and processes in building and construction,
  • Inspect plumbing and drainage systems,
  • Conduct a water audit and identify water-saving initiatives,
  • Develop professional technical and legal reports on building and construction projects and
  • Manage Project Quality
